Obviously, it all starts with your application!

1st STAGE – YOUR CV / PORTFOLIO ASSESSMENT

✔️ While putting your CV together, make sure to include and describe all the projects you’ve worked on, including the university-level ones.

✔️ If you’re applying for an art-related position, include your portfolio and if it’s a programming position, describing all technologies and programming languages you know would be a good idea.

✔️ We pay high attention to your English proficiency – since we are part of the Sumo Group, it’s super important that you’re able to communicate in this language effectively.

2nd STAGE – CULTURE FIT MEETING

The second step is meeting us virtually for a talk about our philosophy, values, and culture. This is the moment when you can ask us all the questions you have and check for yourselves if we meet your expectations, as it obviously works both ways. This is also when we go through your professional experience and projects you’ve worked on.

What is important for us here?

✔️ Your compatibility with our organizational culture. As we want to make it possible to work in a healthy environment and collaborative atmosphere, it’s essential that we invite on board people who share values similar to ours.

✔️ Your willingness to grow and learn. We’ll give you plenty of opportunities to grow, while what you need to have is an inner motivation to use them.

✔️ Your skills. This is the key thing, however, we do not rule out inviting to our team people from outside the game development industry.

3rd STAGE – DOMAIN CHECK

Another step in the process is the so-called “domain check”, which usually is a meeting with some of our people, who review your technical competence. It might happen, however, that you will also be meeting someone from Sumo Digital.

🟢 Sometimes there may be an extra step here, where we invite you to a meeting with our project team and that’s when you can learn a bit more about how we work, what our routines are, and what our standard day at work looks like. This is also an opportunity for you to meet people you might possibly work with and learn more about our projects.

🟢 Last, but not least! This process ends up with us presenting an offer. First, we’ll call you to share the good news (so don’t hesitate to pick up!), then we’ll follow up with an e-mail including all the details.

Naturally, it might happen that we won’t make the offer. In this case, we’ll share detailed feedback with you.

Usually, the whole process gets completed within a week.

Needless to say, these processes often stress people a lot, that’s why we focus on keeping ours straightforward, smooth and fast, and in a friendly atmosphere!
